Nursing Care
A full 24 hours a day nursing service staffed by two trained
Nurses provides peace of mind for both patients and relatives.
In addition, the nursing staff are fully supported by a team
of Care Assistants.
We are able to care for those residents needing long-term
care, e.g. those with Parkinson’s Disease, those disabled
following a stroke and the very elderly infirm, as well as
those requiring terminal care.
Residents are given the option of keeping their existing
doctor or transferring to a local surgery. The local surgery
provides medical care for the residents reviewing each one
every two weeks, or more frequently where the need arises.
 Hotel
Services
The demands of the Care Home and its residents are managed
by our Housekeeper, with the support of her team of cooks,
domestic staff and cleaning and laundry assistants. The Housekeeper
ensures that the daily requirements of the residents are fully
cared for.
Entertainment
Diversional Therapy is provided by staff, and on a regular
basis by semi-professional entertainers, who encourage the
more able to enjoy some of the older, well remembered songs.
Whenever possible the able residents enjoy a trip to town
or to local entertainment.
Relatives are welcome at any time.
Church
The local church takes and interest in the Home. Volunteers
accompany residents to church services and Holy Communion
is brought to the residents on a regular basis.
Hairdresser
A Hairdresser visits the home each week.
Chiropodist
A Chiropodist visits the Home once a month. |
